- Message of environmental protection given by planting trees in Balodabazar forest division
Planting trees is an essential step towards environmental protection. Trees purify the air, provide oxygen, regulate temperatures, and prevent soil erosion. We should all pledge to plant and care for as many trees as possible. Planting trees during the rainy season is considered best because they provide natural water for their growth.
- Inspired to protect the environment
Under the guidance of Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, a range-level Forest Festival was organized in the Baldakchar Forest Range of the Balodabazar Forest Division. On this occasion, a large number of saplings were planted under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, and people were encouraged to protect the environment. The program aimed to promote greater tree planting, raise environmental awareness, and ensure active participation of the local community.
- Public representatives and students participated enthusiastically.
Divisional Forest Officer Mr. Dhammasheel Ganvir, In-charge Forest Range Officer Ms. Ekta Kar, along with Forest Department officials and employees were present at the program. District council members, sarpanches, forest management committee chairpersons and members, local public representatives, a large number of school students, and villagers also participated. Plant trees, save lives, because nature is not only our heritage, but its conservation is also our responsibility to future generations.
- Tree plantation in village Arjuni (b) Gauthan
During the program, plants of local and useful species were planted in the Gauthan located in village Arjuni (B). All participants pledged to plant more trees and care for the plants they planted, to protect the environment and build a greener future.
- Along with planting trees, their care is also important.
The program emphasized that simply planting saplings isn’t enough; protecting them until they grow into trees is equally important. Through the Van Mahotsav, efforts are being made to connect every segment of society with the nature conservation movement. Plants help bring rainfall and increase groundwater levels. They provide shelter for birds and animals, purify the air, and have medicinal properties. After planting, irrigate them regularly. Use tree guards or fences to protect the plants.
- Efforts to increase responsibility and sensitivity towards nature
Divisional Forest Officer Shri Dhammasheel Ganvir stated that the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, conducted under the guidance of Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, is an important initiative towards making environmental protection a mass movement. He stated that this campaign is an effort to increase people’s responsibility and sensitivity towards nature. He appealed to all citizens to plant as many saplings as possible and protect them until they become trees. He stated that the goal of environmental protection can only be successfully achieved with the active participation of public representatives, forest management committees, students, and the local community.
Plants play an invaluable role in protecting our surrounding environment and allowing us to breathe fresh air. Through the Forest Festival, environmental protection and public participation have received renewed energy in the Balodabazar Forest Division, marking a positive step towards a greener and safer future.
