Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh has become the nation’s food basket. A pledge has been made to make Madhya Pradesh the nation’s leading state in agriculture, food processing, and pulse production. The state government is developing a new model of development by bringing together farmers, industry, and business. The state government is committed to providing all possible support to farmers and businesses at every level, whether in land or machinery, to expand their activities. During the Farmer Welfare Year, the state government has set a goal of doubling farmers’ income. The state government has removed the market tax on pigeon pea, which will benefit the pulse milling industry. Relief is also being considered for black gram and masoor (lentil). He stated that pulses have a special significance in our daily lives. Proverbs have become synonymous with green gram and masoor (lentil). Pulses provide us with protein. It is a matter of pride that India is the world’s largest producer and consumer of pulses. Pulses are the largest source of protein in a vegetarian culture. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a program in Indore as part of the All India Pulse Mill Association’s Grain-X India exhibition.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that to increase farmers’ income, the state is promoting the production of milk and pulses. The target is to increase milk production from 9 percent to 20 percent. A bonus plan will soon be formulated to increase lentil and black gram production in the state. Emphasis is also being placed on food processing. This will benefit both farmers and entrepreneurs. Every possible support will be provided to promote industry and trade in Indore. Madhya Pradesh is located in the center of the country and has excellent road, rail, and air connectivity. Efforts are underway to develop air cargo in the state, which will accelerate trade expansion. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that a workshop will soon be held in Bhopal for state government representatives, along with lentil mill entrepreneurs, machine manufacturers, exporters, traders, farmers, and others.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under Prime Minister Shri Modi’s leadership, India has developed a distinctive image in the world. The world formulates its policies based on India’s budget. Times have changed. The Indian government is not affected by any tariffs. For Prime Minister Shri Modi, the farmer, who provides food, is a top priority. The government will not compromise on the interests of farmers. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has set a goal of economically empowering the country in four categories: the poor, the farmer, the youth, and women. The state government is working for the development of all sections. He said that the government has prepared a roadmap for the next five years for farmer welfare. Encouraging everyone, the government has pledged to double the state’s budget in five years, achieving a growth rate of 15 percent. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that he will implement public welfare schemes and make the state economically prosperous. He said that our state ranks second in food grain production in the country. The state’s GDP in the agricultural sector is 39 percent, and our agricultural growth rate is around 16 percent. Madhya Pradesh is a leader in oilseed crops, including wheat, gram, and lentils. Today, Madhya Pradesh is establishing its distinct identity in all sectors, including dairy, animal husbandry, fisheries, floriculture, vegetables, and fruits.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav told the industrialists who had come to the program from other states that you should set up industries in Madhya Pradesh. Our government will provide all kinds of support from land, machinery and reduction of taxes. All investors are welcome on the land of the state. To encourage small-cottage industries and MSME, the state government organized regional industry conclaves at divisional level and road shows to attract investment from other states. Implemented new policies for industrial development. Madhya Pradesh government has also transferred more than Rs 5500 crore to entrepreneurs through Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) for industrial promotion.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is providing industrialists with electricity, water, and land. Furthermore, for setting up employment-oriented industries, the government is providing entrepreneurs with incentives of ₹5,000 per month for 10 years to support workers’ wages. The state government has simplified labor laws. The workers of Indore’s Hukumchand Mill have been paid their dues. The state government stands with everyone, including industrialists and workers, at every step.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that during the Farmer Welfare Year, the state government will ensure fair prices for farmers’ produce. Food processing activities are being promoted in the state. Emphasis is also being placed on establishing food parks and new grain markets in the districts. The state government will also provide all facilities to industrialists to develop food parks. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar earned nationwide fame for her good governance and public welfare. She renovated temples destroyed during the Mughal period.

Water Resources Minister Mr. Silavat said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the state government is continuously striving for industrial development and prosperity of the state’s farmers. The state has received significant industrial investment from within the country and abroad. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has dedicated the year 2026 to farmer welfare. This has strengthened the state’s economy. He said that Indore has led the pulse industry in the country for many years. Mr. Suresh Agarwal, President of the All India Pulse Mill Association, said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has promoted the pulse industry.
The three-day exhibition was inaugurated
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the three-day exhibition, Green X, organized by the All India Dal Mill Association. He also visited the exhibition. The exhibition showcases dal milling, spice machinery, flour mills, rice mills, and other state-of-the-art equipment. Modern machinery from Canada, Turkey, Taiwan, Spain, the United Kingdom, China, England, and various cities in India are also on display.

On this occasion, Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLA Shri Ramesh Mendola and Shri Golu Shukla, former Mayor Shri Krishnamurari Moghe, Shri Sumit Mishra, Shri Gaurav Randive, President of All India Dal Mill Association Shri Suresh Agarwal, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Sudam Khade, Police Commissioner Shri Santosh Kumar Singh, Collector Shri Shivam Verma and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shri Kshitij Singhal were also present.
Visited Swaminarayan Temple
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited the Swaminarayan Temple before the program and offered prayers.
