 Chief Minister’s Swasth Bastar campaign becomes life-saving Sanjeevani

  • Health check-up of 1,54,157 people of Sukma district completed.
  • 39 patients from Niyyad Nellanar received better treatment at the district hospital

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and the guidance of Collector Shri Amit Kumar, health check-up and treatment work is being carried out rapidly in Sukma district under the Chief Minister’s Swasth Bastar Abhiyan. The main objective of the campaign is to provide timely medical facilities to the needy citizens of remote and interior areas. In this sequence, a total of 39 patients from villages like Arlampalli, Polampalli, Dornapal, Bagdeguda, Rangaiguda, Kolaiguda and Pentapad of remote Niyad Nellanar area of ​​Konta development block were brought to District Hospital Sukma for check-up and treatment.

  These patients were properly examined and treated at the district hospital, in which presbyopic glasses were provided to 16 people and cataract surgery was successfully performed on 8 patients. 5 high-risk pregnant women from Gogunda hill area of ​​Niyyad Nellanar were safely brought, examined and sent back with necessary health advice. 6 patients from Kosaguda were sent for ultrasound and blood transfusion, while 4 patients were suffering from swelling in hands and feet, who were also treated and provided relief.

    According to information received from the district hospital, the target for total health checkups in Sukma district under the Chief Minister’s Healthy Bastar Campaign has been set at 2,93,386, of which 1,54,157 people have been examined so far. During the checkups, a total of 4,990 patients were identified with diseases such as cataract, malaria, leprosy, tuberculosis, anemia, high-risk pregnant women, malnourished children, BP and diabetes, and treatment is being provided in primary, community and district hospitals. 

    Collector Mr. Amit Kumar stated that through the Chief Minister’s Healthy Bastar Campaign, providing better health services to remote and interior areas of the district is being prioritized. Our goal is to ensure that no needy citizen is deprived of treatment. Under the campaign, identified patients are brought to the district hospital on time for testing, treatment, surgery, and essential facilities.  

    Demonstrating human sensitivity and administrative promptness, arrangements were made to safely return all patients home after their treatment was completed. Four ambulances were stationed at the district hospital at 6 a.m., where patients were given breakfast and then transported to their villages. This arrangement is proof that the government and administration are taking the health needs of people in remote areas seriously and providing them with respect and safety.
