  • Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal flagged off the Dial-112 Next Gen service.
  • “Emergency response will be faster, with the district receiving eight state-of-the-art emergency response vehicles.”

Security and emergency services got a new boost at the Kotwali police station premises in Manendragarh when Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal flagged off 8 state-of-the-art Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) received by the MCB district under the Dial-112 Phase-II (Next Gen) service.

Addressing the program, Health Minister Mr. Jaiswal said that today is a historic and proud day for the MCB district. Through the Dial-112 Next Gen service, the district has received emergency response vehicles and ambulances equipped with modern technology, making emergency services faster, more effective, and more reliable. He said that under the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, and Home Minister Vijay Sharma, the state government is working tirelessly to ensure the safety and prompt relief of citizens.

The new system will enable immediate assistance to be provided to people in case of accidents, crimes, health emergencies, women’s safety, fires, and other crises. Minister Jaiswal stated that these state-of-the-art vehicles are equipped with a number of modern features, including GPS systems, PTZ cameras, dash cameras, mobile data terminals (MDTs), and smart mobile phones. This will ensure rapid access to the scene and better monitoring of relief and rescue operations.

On this occasion, Superintendent of Police, Mrs. Ratna Singh, informed that out of the 8 Emergency Response Vehicles received by the district, 7 vehicles will be operated 24 hours a day in various areas of the district, while 1 vehicle has been kept in reserve so that services are not disrupted in case of any technical or emergency situation. She said that the operation of these vehicles will further strengthen the reach of police assistance and emergency services in both urban and rural areas. Equipped with modern technology, these vehicles will play a vital role in providing quick relief in any disaster, accident or emergency.

Officials at the event stated that the Dial-112 service has been operational in the state since 2018, but under “Phase II Next Gen,” it has now been expanded to all 33 districts. This new system integrates police, health services, fire services, women’s helplines, child helplines, disaster management, and national highway services into a unified platform, providing citizens with coordinated emergency assistance through a single number, 112.

Nearly 400 emergency response vehicles are being deployed across the state under this project. A state-of-the-art  Primary Centralized Command and Control Center has also been established to ensure smooth operation of services, and a Secondary Command and Control Center has been established as a backup  , ensuring uninterrupted service delivery even in the event of technical disruptions.

Public representatives, police and administrative officials, employees, and a large number of citizens attended the program. The launch of the Dial-112 Next Gen service is expected to provide a new boost to security and emergency services in the district.
