The commencement of the 2026-27 academic session, ‘Shala Praveshotsav’ (school enrollment ceremonies) and parent-teacher meetings were organized in June across 34 schools in the Raigarh region under the ‘Utthan’ project, run by the Adani Foundation—the CSR arm of Adani Power Limited, Raigarh. Currently, over 1,800 students across 22 primary, 8 upper primary, and 4 high schools are benefiting from this project.
The Adani Foundation is continuously strengthening quality education, basic infrastructure development, and the availability of teaching-learning resources in rural areas. Previously, schools under the project have been provided with smart TVs, desks and benches, school bags, stationery, and library resources. These efforts have brought about a positive change in the students’ learning environment.

For the 2026-27 academic session, the distribution and installation of 750 desks and benches have begun. This facility is being provided to the Higher Secondary and Upper Primary schools at Bade Bhandar; the High Schools and Upper Primary schools at Bunga, Supa, and Chandli; Gorra High School; and schools in Taparda, Kalma, Pusalda, and Mahadevpali. Installation work is currently underway at the Bade Bhandar Higher Secondary School, after which the task will be completed in a phased manner across all other identified schools. This initiative will provide a comfortable and improved learning environment for over 1,500 students.
The project also proposes the construction of rainwater harvesting structures at the High Schools in Bade Bhandar, Supa, Bunga, and Chandli. This initiative will promote water conservation and foster environmental awareness among the students.
In the upcoming phase, school bags, stationery kits, and other essential educational materials will be provided to students across all schools associated with the project. Additionally, special awareness sessions will be organized for adolescent girls studying in upper primary and high schools, and health and hygiene kits will be distributed to support their health, self-confidence, and overall development.

A spokesperson for the Adani Foundation said, “Through the ‘Utthan’ project, we are focusing on the holistic development of students in rural areas alongside providing them with better educational facilities. We strive to ensure that every child has access to a respectful and conducive learning environment.”
Through the ‘Utthan’ project, the Adani Foundation is continuously working to improve the quality of education, foster student development, and create an inclusive educational environment in rural areas.
