- Weekly meetings will be held to withdraw Naxal cases, and a team of government lawyers will be formed.
- All possible assistance should be provided to the affected families
Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, in a review meeting of the Police Department held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, directed to expedite relief, rehabilitation and development works in Naxal-affected areas. He said that necessary action should be taken in the process of release of those accused imprisoned in Naxal cases, against whom there are no cases of serious loss of life, by legally reviewing their cases. For this, with the help of the Law Department, a team of prosecution and lawyers will be formed to discuss the withdrawal of the case. Along with this, a review meeting of its progress will be held every week in the office of the District Superintendent of Police related to the concerned case. He said that in such Naxal cases in which there has been no loss of life, it is necessary to release the Naxal accused imprisoned in jail.
- ‘Villages that were highly Naxal-affected will get Rs 1 crore’
To accelerate the development of areas once heavily affected by Naxalism, the government will pass a Naxal-free resolution and approve development projects worth ₹1 crore each in such villages, which will not only provide livelihoods to the villagers but will also lead to the development of the villages. Currently, 50 villages have been identified for this purpose. These include 20 villages in Sukma, 20 in Bijapur, and 10 in Narayanpur.
- ‘Tiranga Yatra in all Naxal-free villages by August 15’

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sharma directed that on the coming 15th August 2026, the tricolor will be hoisted in all the Naxal-free villages, so that the message of national unity, trust and public participation will reach every village.
- ‘Affected and rehabilitated families should get the benefit of housing scheme’
In the meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister directed that all Naxal-affected and rehabilitated families be provided housing under the special provisions of the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme. Community memorials should also be constructed in areas where major Naxal incidents have occurred so that the memories of the martyrs and victims can be honored. He inquired about the cases of soldiers and civilians martyred in Naxal incidents, the assistance provided to their families, and the pending cases, district-wise. He said that all the prescribed government facilities should be made available to the families of the martyrs on time and there should be no delay at any level.
- ‘The incentive amount announced for the rehabilitated will be paid within a month’
Following the rehabilitation policy, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sharma directed that the announced incentives be paid to rehabilitated youth within the next one month. He also directed that information be entered into a dashboard prepared for the facilities provided to Naxal victims and rehabilitated individuals. He directed that an interstate committee be formed to collate the recovery of weapons looted by Maoists and ensure that no weapons are left behind in the forest.
Principal Secretary Ms. Niharika Singh Barik, Secretary Mrs. Neha Champawat, ADG Mr. Vivekananda Sinha along with senior officers of Home Department, Police Department and concerned districts were present in the meeting.
