Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Thursday conducted a surprise inspection of wheat procurement centers in Katargaon, Mandaleshwar tehsil, Khargone district, and Makodi village in Shajapur district. He reviewed procurement arrangements. He directed the Collector and Mandi Secretary to strictly follow all instructions related to wheat procurement. Farmers should not face any problems. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that he would regularly conduct surprise visits to review arrangements. After purchasing 55 quintals of wheat from farmer Mr. Suresh Patidar in Katargaon, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav generated a receipt online for Mr. Patidar on the e-procurement portal and handed him a receipt for the payment amount of Rs. 1,44,374.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, during his inspection of the Katargaon wheat procurement center in Khargone district today, after spending the night in Maheshwar on Wednesday, directed the Collector and Market Secretary to install all six weighing scales at the procurement/purchase center. Weighing operations should continue uninterrupted at all six weighing scales. The new wheat procurement standards issued today should be implemented. Adequate shade and drinking water should be provided to farmers at the procurement/purchase centers. Ensuring every farmer receives a fair price for their produce, along with respect and convenience, is the state government’s top priority. Any problems in the procurement process should be resolved promptly. To ensure timely weighing of farmers’ produce, adequate gunny bags, weighing scales, sewing machines, computers for slot booking, internet connection, computer operators, and other facilities should always be available at the procurement center. He also inspected the arrangements for drinking water, tents, seating, etc. for the convenience of farmers at the procurement center and directed further enhancements.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also interacted with farmer and animal husbandry Shri Bhagirath Malviya and other farmers at the procurement center Katargaon. After discussing with the farmers and animal husbandry, he drank tea with them. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav got information about slot booking and other procurement arrangements and the payment being made to the farmers through OTP. He also took feedback from the farmers about the arrangements made by the government. He said that providing respect, facilities and fair price of produce to every farmer is the top priority of the state government. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed farming related matters with them and also inquired about animal husbandry and dairy development as well as about their family members. During this, Maheshwar MLA Shri Rajkumar Meo along with public representatives and officials were present.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav on Thursday made a surprise inspection of the Shyama wheat procurement center in Makodi village of Shajapur district. Here he got information about slot booking and other procurement arrangements and the payment being made to the farmers through OTP. He also discussed with the farmers at the procurement center and got information about the arrangements. He interacted with the farmers by boarding a tractor-trolley. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav took information about the wheat yield from farmers Mr. Deepak and Mr. Rahul and also discussed with other farmers.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed the farmers that the procurement period has been extended from May 9, 2026, to May 23. If needed, the procurement period will be extended further. Don’t worry, every grain of their produce will be purchased. Our government stands with all farmers.
During the surprise inspection, farmers were asked about adequate seating arrangements, drinking water, shade, etc. at the procurement site, and the amount of wheat weighed at the procurement site was also verified. Information was also obtained from the Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Society, Makodi, regarding the number of farmers, the quantity purchased and transported, and the amount of payment.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inquired about the printing from Mrs. Sangeeta Bai, a woman from a self-help group who was printing on gunny bags. He also inquired about the funds received under the Chief Minister’s Ladli Behna and other government schemes.
