Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav released the book ‘Lokmata Ahilyabai : Concept of Rashtra Resurgence’ at Samatva Bhavan (Chief Minister’s Residence). In this book published by Madhya Pradesh Hindi Granth Akademi, it is said that the life and work of Lokmata, Punya Shloka Ahilyabai Holkar was not the result of any accidental greatness, but was a natural extension of a long cultural trend. Her life story is proof of the fact that Indian women have been saints, witches, warriors as well as skilled rulers.

The book is a collection of essays on women’s self-esteem and social upliftment through the eyes of Ahilyabai Holkar, national unity through cultural reconstruction, social welfare through panch transformation, life management through school, child marriage-challenges and solutions to social injustice. The book contains investigative articles on Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar’s concept of national revival, justice and administrative vigilance, holistic life thinking, Lokmata Ahilyabai’s role in the upliftment of Indian handicrafts and justice and equality for women. The book also has a chapter on the historical and cultural analysis of Lokmata Ahilyabai’s contribution to the Indian knowledge tradition. The price of the book is 160 rupees.
