With no one to rely on, Jupiter and Vishnu are moving ahead on the wheels of their own courage.

  • Motorized tricycles boost confidence, make life easier along with business

Brihaspati and Vishnu were once forced to rely on others for shopping, grocery shopping, or small tasks related to their business. But the motorized tricycles they received at a camp organized by the Social Welfare Department have transformed this helplessness into self-confidence. Now, the pace of their lives is in their own hands.

For years, Mrs. Brihaspati Sahu of Jairamnagar-Khair, Masturi Block, Bilaspur, has been supporting her family by selling fruits. Delivering fruits to the shop, bringing groceries from the market, and performing daily chores were no less than a challenge for her. Now, with a motorized tricycle, she can do all these tasks herself. Brihaspati Sahu says, “This tricycle is like a new life for me. Now I won’t have to wait for anyone. I will be able to run my shop with more ease and confidence than before.” She expressed her gratitude to the government for this support.

Similarly, Mr. Vishnu Singh Rajput, a resident of Bachlikhurd village (Ratanpur) in the Kota development block, runs a general store. Previously, bringing goods to his shop was a major challenge. Now, with a motorized tricycle, he can go to the market himself to purchase essential supplies and run his business more smoothly. Mr. Rajput says, “Now I don’t have to rely on anyone else for my work. This tricycle is the greatest means for me to become self-reliant.” For many disabled beneficiaries like Brihaspati Sahu and Vishnu Singh Rajput, this assistance is not just a vehicle, but a new identity of respect, self-confidence, and independence. This initiative by the Social Welfare Department is not only providing them with better mobility but also giving them renewed courage to stand on their own feet and live a life of dignity.
