    Sadashiv wanted to take up additional employment to supplement his income, but lacked sufficient capital. That’s when he learned about the Animal Husbandry Department’s Kisan Credit Card Scheme. With the department’s guidance, he received a loan of 30,000 rupees through a bank. With this money, he purchased chicks and provided them with the necessary food and other necessary provisions.

    With regular care, excellent management, and technical guidance from the department, his poultry business has steadily grown. Today, he earns approximately 100,000 rupees annually from this business, with a net profit of approximately 80,000 rupees. This additional income has strengthened his family’s financial situation and significantly improved his standard of living.

  • Now I dream of setting up a big poultry farm.

    Sadashiv Kurgud says that the Livestock Development Department’s scheme has given him the opportunity to become self-reliant. Now, his goal is to expand employment by establishing a commercial poultry farm. Expressing his gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and the district administration, he said that the benefits of such schemes should reach as many farmers and rural youth as possible, so that they too can strengthen their financial situation by adopting self-employment.
