38 cyber commandos will be active at each examination center.
The Director General of Police Mr. Kailash Makwana gave detailed instructions to all Superintendents of Police in a review meeting held at the Police Headquarters with the aim of ensuring safe, transparent and fair conduct of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) to be held on 21st June 2026 in the region. In the meeting, the entire security system related to the examination, inter-departmental coordination, cyber surveillance, security of question papers and arrangements of exam centers were reviewed in detail.
Director General of Police Mr. Kailash Makwana said that maintaining the credibility of the examination is the highest priority and the entire process from receipt of question papers to their safe storage, transportation to examination centers, safe return of answer booklets and materials after completion of the examination should be kept completely safe and error free. He directed that there should be no scope for negligence or lapse in security at any level.
The Director General of Police said that in view of the sensitivity of the examination, effective coordination should be ensured between the Police, District Administration, National Testing Agency (NTA), Department of Corrections, Banking Institutions and other concerned agencies in all districts.
He directed that all Superintendents of Police should conduct self-inspection of examination centres, question paper storage areas and respective banks and check the security arrangements by June 20. CCTV cameras, door frame metal detectors (DFMD), deployment of security forces and entry arrangements of candidates should be specially checked at examination centres.
The DGP directed all the Superintendents of Police to personally inspect each examination center in their district and ensure timely completion of all necessary assignments by proper review of question paper transportation, strong room, security of confidential material, security arrangements of examination centers, traffic management and emergency response arrangements.

He said that 38 cyber commandos of the region will be active to monitor any kind of illegal activity through cyber means. He also directed to further strengthen cyber surveillance to prevent paper leaks, rumors and use of improper tools, continuous monitoring of social media activities and special vigilance on persons and suspicious elements involved in examination related crimes in the past. The DGP said that all officers should discharge their duties with full sensitivity, coordination and responsibility to maintain the credibility of the examination.
DGP Shri Makwana said that any kind of rumours, misleading information, misinformation or inappropriate activities related to the examination should be dealt with immediately. He directed to adopt a policy of “Zero Tolerance towards Paper Leaks”.
The Director General of Police also directed in the meeting that necessary checks should be made at hotels, lodges, coaching institutes and other sensitive places during the examination period. District level coordination should be continuously active and special vigilance should be taken during the last 72 hours. The process of safe return of question papers and other confidential materials after the end of the examination should be carried out with the same seriousness as the security arrangements before the examination.
It was informed in the meeting that about 1 lakh 18 thousand candidates will participate in the examination at 283 examination centers in Madhya Pradesh. Most examination centers have been set up in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur.
