The impact of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai’s “good governance” and public welfare policies is now visible in the most remote areas of the state. In this context, a piece of glorious news has emerged from Bijapur district.

In the ‘Champions of the Quarter’ (October-December 2025) report of the aspirational blocks of the country released by NITI Aayog, Usur block of Bijapur has brought laurels to the state by securing second position in the entire country in the Central Zone.

  • Chief Minister Shri Sai congratulated and said – this is the victory of public trust.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai congratulated the citizens, health workers, and district administration of Usoor Block and Bijapur district on this achievement. He said, “Usoor Block’s achievement of second place at the national level is a direct testament to our good governance and effective implementation of schemes to the last person. Providing health services to the remote villages of Bastar is our priority. What Usoor has achieved under difficult circumstances is an inspiration for the entire state. This success is the result of the dedication of grassroots health workers, Mitanin sisters, ANMs, and doctors. Our goal now is to achieve first place in the country.”

  • Minister Kashyap expressed his happiness and encouraged

Forest and Climate Change Minister and District In-Charge Shri Kedar Kashyap said that this national success of the Usur Block under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai is a matter of great pride. He said, “This is a direct proof that our government’s policies are reaching the people in the remotest corners of the state with complete authenticity. The dedication shown by health workers and the district administration, despite difficult geographical conditions, is commendable. Our resolve is to bring the light of development to every village in Bastar.”

Minister Kashyap said that the Usoor block, once considered lacking basic amenities, has now become a model of development for the country. This success is thanks to the day and night hard work of on-the-ground doctors, ANMs, Anganwadi workers, and Mitanin sisters.

  • A new chapter in development: Usoor meets stringent standards

NITI Aayog had conducted the assessment based on several key indicators related to health and social development, in which Usoor block performed excellently:

1. Control of Communicable Diseases: Effective campaigns were launched in remote villages to prevent malaria, dengue and other communicable diseases.
2. Safe Motherhood: There was a record increase in the number of institutional deliveries, leading to a significant reduction in infant and maternal mortality.
3. Strong Immunization Shield: Along with regular vaccination of children and pregnant women, HPV vaccination was made successful at the grassroots level.
4. Screening for Serious Diseases: Free screening and treatment of non-communicable diseases like BP, diabetes and cancer was made available in every village.

Next Resolution: Achieve first place in the country.

Collector Shri Vishwadeep and Chief Medical and Health Officer expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and Minister in Charge Shri Kedar Kashyap.
