‘Good Governance Festival’: ‘A huge crowd gathered at the Naimed Samadhan camp, villagers and rehabilitated youth benefited from the schemes’

  • ‘Solution under one roof – Camp becomes an effective platform for public convenience and quick resolution’

The special Samadhan Camp, organized in Naimed, Bijapur district, under the Chhattisgarh government’s Good Governance Festival 2026, emerged as a large and accessible platform for rural welfare schemes. A large number of local villagers who attended this massive camp not only directly benefited from various schemes but also directly informed the administration about their collective and individual problems. Women who returned to mainstream society and were rehabilitated were distributed free sewing machines for self-employment after completing sewing training.
“Providing benefits to the last person is our top priority,” said the Collector.

Addressing the camp, Bijapur Collector Shri Vishwadeep said that ensuring the benefits of every government welfare scheme reach the lowest in society with complete transparency is the district administration’s top priority. Now, villagers no longer need to visit various offices to obtain documents, whether large or small, or to resolve their problems. The administration has come to their doorstep. All departments are present in one place, ensuring prompt and on-the-spot resolution of your issues. Villagers from dozens of nearby villages, including Ermannar, Dugoli, Midte, Kader, Kaika, Peddakodepal, Palanar, Moosalur, and Papanpal, participated enthusiastically in the camp.

The Collector appealed to the villagers to be vigilant and visit all departmental stalls to obtain accurate information about the eligibility criteria, required documents, and application procedures. The Collector urged everyone to obtain a bank account, Aadhaar card, labor card, and Ayushman card compulsorily for transparency and quick financial benefits, as funds from important schemes like MNREGA, tendu leaf collection, and the Mahtari Vandan Yojana are being deposited directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts through DBT.

Youth and women connected to the mainstream received support.
This camp witnessed a special initiative, demonstrating administrative sensitivity. Rehabilitated women who have returned to the mainstream of society were distributed free sewing machines for self-employment after completing training on sewing machines to foster self-reliance. Local youth who received specialized masonry training were provided labor cards for future security.

  • On-the-spot distribution of materials and benefits by various departments

Immediate relief and materials were handed over to eligible beneficiaries through various departmental stalls set up in the camp. Quick distribution of digital Kisan Kitab (loan book) to farmers and caste certificates to students, Kisan Credit Cards to farmers and soil testing certificates to improve the health of fields, nets and ice boxes to women fisheries groups for livelihood promotion and assistive devices to the disabled for their comfortable life. The Health Department distributed Ayushman cards to the common citizens for free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh and the keys of their new pucca houses to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana were handed over.

Additionally, the Women and Child Development Department, in keeping with its social responsibility, organized the traditional baby shower for pregnant mothers and the Annaprashan ceremony for infants who had completed six months in a very cordial atmosphere. A new chapter of good governance and public trust began, which led to the active participation of local public representatives in this massive camp and encouraged villagers to take maximum advantage of government schemes.

Today, through Good Governance Festival, a direct dialogue is being established between the administration and the public in the forest region of Bijapur. Document creation, authentic information on schemes, and the prompt resolution of public grievances at a single location are proving to be a revolutionary and exemplary step towards rural development and good governance in Chhattisgarh.
