Good Governance Festival 2026: ‘When the administration’s sensitive initiative brought a new dawn of cleanliness and respect in the lives of 162 families.

These days, Sushasan Tihar 2026 in Surajpur district isn’t limited to government camps; it’s also writing a new story of hope, respect, and positive change in the lives of rural families. Thanks to the administration’s prompt and sensitive action, 162 families in the district have received administrative approval to construct individual toilets, bringing a new ray of self-respect and cleanliness to their homes. Many rural families had been facing difficulties for years due to the lack of toilet facilities. For women, the elderly, and children in particular, this problem wasn’t just an inconvenience, but a serious health and safety issue. However, the district administration responded promptly to applications submitted at the Sushasan Tihar camps, and under the guidance of Collector Mrs. Rena Jamil, 162 eligible families were granted prompt administrative approval under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin). This initiative has emerged as a significant step towards strengthening dignity and cleanliness in rural life.     The joy on the faces of the villagers was evident after receiving the approval:
“Now, respect and convenience will be available at home as well.”
Many women expressed their emotional relief that they would now be free from the compulsion of defecating in the open. This facility will also bring relief to children and the elderly. Villagers said that for the first time they felt that the administration was listening seriously to their problems and providing timely solutions.

Collector Mrs. Rena Jamil stated that the true objective of good governance is to ensure respectful and prompt resolution of public problems. She stated that the Swachh Bharat Mission is not limited to toilet construction, but rather a campaign to build a healthy and respectful society. She instructed officials to regularly monitor the toilet construction work of all approved beneficiaries and ensure quality. According to the administrative approval issued, 84 families from Janpad Panchayat Pratappur have received the maximum benefit. Additionally, 28 families from Odgi, 27 from Bhaiyathan, 19 from Surajpur, and 2 from Ramanujnagar have been added to the scheme.
