- Rebate applicable to all eligible allotted properties under Chhattisgarh Housing and Infrastructure Development Board schemes – Chairman Anurag Singh Deo
The Chhattisgarh Housing and Infrastructure Development Board (CGHB) had previously offered a special 50% rebate to allottees on interest accrued during the delay period and surcharges on outstanding water charges under a One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme, which had a deadline of March 31, 2026.
Housing Board Announces 50% Rebate on Penal Interest for Beneficiaries
On the occasion of Independence Day, the Chhattisgarh Housing and Infrastructure Development Board presented a significant gift to its beneficiaries. During the Independence Day celebrations held at the Board’s headquarters in Naya Raipur Atal Nagar, Board Chairman Shri Anurag Singh Deo announced a 50% rebate on penal interest for beneficiaries with outstanding dues.
Properties Allotted Under OTS-1 and OTS-2 of the Special Housing Scheme Excluded
This rebate will apply to all allotted properties—whether completed or under construction—across all the Board’s schemes. However, properties allotted under the OTS-1 and OTS-2 categories of the Special Housing Scheme will remain outside the scope of this scheme. Eligible beneficiaries can avail themselves of the 50% rebate on penal interest (i.e., interest for the delayed period) by depositing the entire outstanding amount for their allotted property in a single lump-sum payment.
Chairman Shri Anurag Singh Deo stated that the Board had previously offered a similar 50% rebate on penal interest until March 31, 2026, for lump-sum payments of outstanding dues against constructed buildings. That scheme received a positive response from beneficiaries. The scheme has been reintroduced with the dual objective of maintaining liquidity in the Board’s funds and providing beneficiaries with the convenience of clearing their outstanding dues in a single payment. 50% Waiver on Water Charge Surcharges
Chairman Shri Anurag Singh Deo stated that surcharges were accruing on outstanding amounts because many beneficiaries had failed to pay their water supply charges on time. Beneficiaries had been consistently requesting a waiver on these surcharges. Keeping the convenience of the beneficiaries in mind, the Board has decided to offer a 50% waiver on the accrued surcharge if the outstanding water supply charges for allotted properties are paid in a lump sum. This move will provide relief to beneficiaries in settling their dues and allow them to benefit from the surcharge waiver.
The Chairman mentioned that the Board is issuing necessary instructions to the concerned units in this regard. He urged beneficiaries to take advantage of this facility and make a prompt lump-sum payment of their outstanding dues.
